EMUGE-FRANKEN sets standard for modular carbide milling tools

EMUGE-FRANKEN sets the pace in the fast growing market of modular milling tools with Novosys®.

Novosys® is a mechanical system of revolutionary simplicity which permits the connection of solid carbide cutting heads to re-usable shanks, providing a 20 to 50% cost savings over conventional solid carbide tools. Novosys® also permits custom designed cutting geometries and an increased number of cutting edges which results in higher cutting speeds and faster machining. Novosys® was originally designed for the mold and die industry, but also provides an economical alternative in the production of turbine blades or in any industry where 3-D machining is utilized. Currently available in diameters ranging from 12 to 25 mm, and soon available as small as 8 mm. This system can be used with conventional coolant or in a dry machining environment.
