Coolair Nozzle
The Coolair Nozzle eliminates the need for costly liquid chemical coolants. Utilizing the principle of a vortex, typical pressurized "shop" air is forced into the tube, then separated into two rotating and counter flowing streams of air. The result: The exhaust gas, or hot air, is eliminated at one end of the tube after passing through a muffler/filter, while the air at the nozzle end is released at temperatures adjustable between 21° and -40° Fahrenheit. When applied in the Full Speed, Hard Machining environment, chips are cooled and evacuated at once, without the introduction of thermal shock to the tools cutting edge, resulting in longer tool life, less tool changes, more uninterrupted cuts and an overall enhancement of the surface finish condition.
