The quick-change adapters type EM are designed to be used in our tap holders type SFM and KSN. The 5 sizes are divided up into according cutting ranges and are available in 5 different versions.

Note: The quick-change adapters are suitable for cutting right-hand threads and left-hand threads.

Tap Adaption by Quick-Change Adapters

The adaption of the tap is executed via a quick-change-ball-clamping-system, whereby a separate adapter is required for each shank diameter.

Internal Coolant Supply

Depending on the version of the tap, with or without oil channel, the quick-change-adapters are available in two versions:

Version 1:

Quick-change-adapter Type EM/IKZ and EM-U/IKZ with coolant supply via supply channels outside along the tap shank for taps without oil channel.

Version 2:

Standard quick-change-adapter Type EM and EM-U with coolant supply via taps with oil channel.

Version EM

Normal version, without overload clutch,
Application range: Especially for cutting of through threads.

Version EM-U

· With integrated, readjustable overload clutch for right- and left-hand threads,
· Application range: Especially for cutting blind threads.
