New Emuge Insert Tools Significantly Boost Productivity.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA (January 23, 2004) — Emuge Corporation has introduced a series of indexable insert end mills named “Time-S,” the latest addition to their comprehensive line of High Productivity Cutting Tools. Time-S is capable of extreme chip loads and aggressive material removal, providing dramatic reductions in machining time.

Time-S features robust and stable, precision manufactured cutter bodies, and inserts with an innovative blended double-radius cutting edge. This unique design provides optimum distribution of cutting forces along the entire insert’s cutting edge, minimizing vibration and ensuring smooth free-cutting at chip loads of up to .100" per tooth.

Time-S provides unmatched material removal rates in cast iron and steels hardened to 44 Rc. “Time-S is capable of high feed rates and accelerated cutting speeds at significant cutting depths. This makes steel removal possible at rates exceeding 150 cubic inches per minute, using an 80mm tool. The only limit of Time-S is the maximum feed rate of the machine tool,” stated Stephen Jean, Milling Products Manager for Emuge Corp.
