Full-Speed Taps are designed for tapping at exceptionally high tapping speeds.

Rekord A-S-IKZ-TICN

Chamfer. 2-3 threads.

Material. Iron, aluminum, and brass. For complete listing see Machining.

Machining. Recommended maximum tapping speed for cast iron up to 220 BHN, malleable iron up to 290 BHN, spheroidal graphite cast iron up to 200 BHN, and meehanite cast iron is 260 SFM. Recommended tapping speed range for cast AISI aluminum alloys and cast AISImg alloys is 98 to 260 SFM. Recommended tapping speed range for short chipping copper-zinc alloys (brass) is 98 to 325 SFM.

Chamfer. Form "B" 4-5 Threads

Application. "S" Geometry designed especially for CNC controlled machines.

Materials.

  1. Steel, Aluminum and Brass. Recommended tapping speed range for unalloyed, low alloyed and steel alloyed steels, steel castings, construction steels, free cutting steels, heat-treatable steels, cold extrusion steels and deep drawing steels is 98 to 325 SFM. Recommended tapping speed for stainless steel, alloyed tool steels, heat-resistant steels, heat resisting, corrosion and acid proof steel castings is 98 SFM. Recommended tapping speed range for wrought aluminum alloys, pure aluminum and aged free machining allows, aluminum alloy castings and cast AISmg alloy is 98 to 260 SFM. Recommended maximum tapping speed for long chipping copper zinc alloys (brass) is 200 SFM.

Coating. TiN for better thread surface finishes, higher cutting speeds and longer tool life.

Suitable for thread depth up to 1.5 x d.
