Synchro series taps are specifically for use on CNC machines with synchronous control and the use of Emuge's KSN/Softsynchro Tap Holders.

Machining. Recommended for maximum tapping speed for unalloyed, low-alloyed and alloyed steels, steel castings, construction steels, free cutting steels, heat treatable steels, cold extrusion steels, and deep drawing sheets is 325 SFM. Recommended maximum tapping speed for stainless steel, alloyed tool steel, heat-resistant steels, heat-resistant corrosion and acid-proof steel castings is 98 SFM, Recommended tapping speed range for wrought aluminum alloys, pure aluminum and aged free machining alloys, aluminum alloys and castings, and cast AISmg alloys is 98 to 260 SFM. Recommended maximum tapping speed for long chipping copper-zinc alloys (brass) is 200 SFM.
